The Kingdom Hearts Chronicles is a Japanese-American media franchise and shared universe based on the video game series by Square Enix and The Walt Disney Company. Inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe and set years after the "Dark Seeker Saga", the franchise follows 3 young animalistic Keyblade wielders who, through a mystical twist of fate, are brought together at an enchanted school and having extraordinary adventures of self-discovery and growth while leading a group of other kid heroes, both animal and human, and dealing with the forces of evil.
Chapter One centers on the first meeting of the wielders and their dealings with a cult of villainous witches and warlocks culminating in a decision to stay or go; having felt at home in Scala ad Caelum, they chose the former.
Chapter Two is a prequel showing a previous group of heroes dueling with a group of criminals planning to get revenge on their enemies and dominate the worlds.

Prolouge[]
Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Sora who wished to explore the universe along with his friends Riku and Kairi. The 3 grew in their island home until a deadly evil destroyed it and separated him from his comrades. However, the boy finds himself two new friends in Donald Duck (royal magician) and Goofy (captain of the guard). The two were also searching for their friend and king Mickey Mouse, who was investigating why all the worlds were dying; upon learning this, Sora joins forces with Donald and Goofy in order to search for all of their friends. During their travels, they discover that the villain responsible for the events is a man named Ansem who seeks to bring about an eternal darkness across the worlds.
