Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is a group of colored masked heroes, and the 35th Super Sentai.

In official publications, the Gokaigers are the Japanese analogues to the Power Rangers Super MegaForce, and predate their American counterparts in conception by 3 years.

Following the defeat of the Bakut Pirates, the Gokais had returned all the Ranger Keys and repaired the Gokai Galleon to set sail for the Zangyack homeworld once more, where they come to blows with the Sokaigers. When Jack's true identity as Jacktos Gill is exposed and he kills Blaxon, the remaining Sokaigers betray their captain and become honorary Gokaigers to help destroy Jacktos once and for all, putting an end to the evil Gill family for good.

Later in 2023, they capture a dimension-hopping Loki and join Shin's Avengers Sentai Alliance to help defeat the Stark Administration.

Trivia

• Gokaiger VS Sokaiger and Marvel VS Super Sentai mark the first occasions the Gokaigers do not morph into other official Rangers, though Gai is still able to create original power sets with his imagination.
• With Gai briefly becoming a Spider Man variant called Kamen Spider, and the Gokaigers now sharing possession of a Ranger Key of Shin Captain America, they are the only Tokuverse characters who changed into Rangers, Kamen Riders, Metal Heroes, and Marvel Heroes.
• The new powers they use in the Battle of Starktopia 01 are “reverse-adapted” from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the 1995 movie(both default and Ninjetti forms), and the HyperForce Power Rangers.
