Gintoki Sakata is the main character of the GinTama series and a protagonist in Kingdom Hearts: Awakening, and comes along to help Lexaln in his journey.

Story
Origin
Gintoki Sakata is a samurai living in an era where Aliens known as the Amanto have come to Earth, and the Samurai have been defeated. In the Joi war, he was known as the "White Demon" due to his silver hair and white coat he wore in battle, which, combined with his impressive capabilities as a swordsman, made him famous among his comrades and struck fear into Amanto. Gintoki now lives with Shinpachi Shimura, Kagura, and their pet alien-dog Sadaharu, taking on odd jobs.
Fleeing Destiny
Gin is the one who takes in Lexaln and his friends, Dante Saxon, Occidere Way, and Ceodore Harvey. He allows them to live with him and his comrades (the Yorozuya, comprising of Shinpachi Shimura, Kagura, and Sadaharu). Together, they protect the outsiders from the Shinsengumi while they recover.
Eventually, the Heartless find Lexaln after doggedly chasing him, and begin to overrun Edo. The Shinsengumi somehow find a way to side with the Heartless, so Gin, Lexaln, and another ally of the player's choice fights them off before they are overrun. Lexaln, Dante, Occidere, and Ceodore flee while Gin and the Yorozuya finish off the last of the intruders. He waves his friends goodbye before helping to rebuild the injured planet.
Appearance
Gintoki has silver hair and a natural perm. He wears black shirt and pants with red linings and a white yukata (summer kimono) with light blue patterns worn sloppily, draped over the left shoulder. He carries his wooden katana engraved with "Lake Toya" on the handle, by his waist.[1]
Personality
Gintoki is a lazy, laid back man. He loves sweets, yet is one step away from diabetes. He hates fighting, and loves calcium more than anything. He never hesitates to help others, though.
Powers and Abilities
Sword
Gin is a very skilled swordfighter. Even though he uses a wooden sword, he has shown enough strength in the past to snap a metal sword in half. He fights with medium speed and a fast, powerful sword arm.
