Doppelganger is an ability prominent in Kingdom Hearts: Odyssey that is exclusive to Kira Zero. As the name suggests, Kira is able to create detailed afterimages of herself that either fight alongside her or take hits in her stead.
Mechanics[]
Creating an afterimage consumes a portion of the "Illusion Gauge" which the player is limited to two afterimages when playing as an underleveled Kira. When the player has leveled up significantly, in which the gauge has been increased, the limit is then raised to creating five afterimages. Certain status ailments will temporarily lock the Gauge, preventing Doppelganger from being used for the period. A common trait for all Doppelganger variations is that the clones merely provide as distraction and are unable to land any substantial damage towards enemies.

| Doublestyle | Blurry copies of Kira will fight alongside their classic counterpart. While they can distract enemy attention away from Kira, these clones cannot deal actual damage. |
| Agni-Style | Carmine-tinted copies of Kira that dissolve into a widespread heatwave upon defeated, inflicting nasty burns to any unfortunate souls nearby. |
| Skadi-Style | Pale blue copies of Kira that instantly flash freeze any nearby suckers upon defeat. Alternatively, Kira herself can simply toss one of her shadows at her desired target, leaving them frozen as well. |
| Raijin-Style | Lightning-fast, yellow copies of Kira whose thunderous affinity can leave enemies momentarily stunned upon defeat. |
